The Ultimate Love Story unfolded at the O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday 15Feb. If you weren't in love when you got there you definitely were by the time you left. Some of the most powerful icons in the reggae fraternity performed their most popular hits to a crowd that was hungry for their renditions. Support acts Ziggy Anderson, Stevie Face & Chris Ellis warmed up the proceedings....then George Nooks washed all our troubles away and warmed our hearts. Mr. Vegas..slick in cravat and velvet jacket roused the audience with some of his rousing hits..Sweet Sweet Cocoa Tea tehn took up the action with ad lib lyrics an effervescent performance. A surprise indtroduction to the thrill of the crowd was Turbulence currently touring with Cocoa Tea. Now the main performers were ready to delight and that is exactly what they did. There is no stopping this young lady Etana...here powerful voice and elegant style had the crowd begging for more and the climax of the show was of course the new sensation Tarrus Riley...each song raised the academy roof. With antics from both Dean Fraser and Tarrus's father Jimmy riley the show was a 100% success and one of the best I have seen for a long time..A great time was had by all!

If you weren't at The Brigstocks on Sat 25Oct...WHERE WERE YOU? The house was rocking for Commander B's birthday and launch party. His new single "Battering Down" nearly brought the house down. Distinguished guests such as MBE Clovis (the first black man for 30 years to receive this distinction from the Queen), MOBO winner Glamma Kidd and reggae artist Dan I provided live performances to the receptive crowd. Videographer Reggae Top SHotz for Channel U captured it all. Watch out for it on your screens soon! Good luck with the new single Commander B...A da da di di di....

Have you ever been to Disneyworld and had to wait in the queue for hours for a popular ride? Well that was exactly what it was lik on Sat 05Jul @ Carling Academy Brixton. The queue circled the block at least twice and people startined queing as early as 6.30 and showtime was billed for 10. A plethora of UK artists warmed up the crowd - Vincent Napp, New Flour, Ziggy & Ras Negus...we need to support local homegrown talent and they did well. Tarrus riley is definitely a showman and his lively performance and "crowd walkabout" was gladly received by all. When he sang "She's royal" the house top lifted. Duane Stephenson & Tony Rebel put on superb performances and Queen Ifrica showed us why she was so popular especially with "Below te Waist" and her latest hit "Daddy"...the crowd went wild. Guest Appearances from Mikey Spice who was just passing through and a medley from Vivian Jones gave the people brawta pon den money!!! Etan prove why her new album Strong One depicts her totally...a small lady with a wicked and powerful voice..her Wrond Address rendition had the crowd crying out for more.....well well...what can I say about the finale....dressed in a black velvet majestic cape and wearing the colours of ethiopia the man witht he voice of silk walked slowly onto the stage...singing acapella....the rest is history!!!
